# What is Southside City?

Southside City is a free to play, decentralized, community sourced, play and own metaverse where players are free to rob, shoot, kill, build, and earn. Welcome to the wild west of the metaverse.

In a massive world map filled with everything from dense urban developments, harsh rural mountains, and luxurious beaches, you are free to do whatever you like. Establish a drug cartel, police the streets, create a museum for your NFT’s, or sell guns in the back alleys of the City. Earn valuable cryptocurrency rewards with the $SSC token, or even steal NFT’s from players if you have the will to do so. We’re building the most intense and no-holds-barred metaverse experience in existence, and we want you to come help us design it.
